MailChimp: Email Marketing

ActiveProspect partners with MailChimp to offer sections of the MailChimp API 3.0 directly through LeadConduit.

You can use the LeadConduit MailChimp Integration to Add a Member to an Existing List.

What you'll need to get started:

  • A MailChimp account
  • An API Key
  • At least one active List

The documentation below will show you where to find the API Key.

Finding What You Need to Get Started

Log in to your MailChimp account.

Load the Account menu from the MailChimp menu in the upper right corner, then select Extras -> API Keys from the tabbed menu.

Click the Create a Key button and give it the label LeadConduit, so you remember for what system you created it.

Next, if you have only one MailChimp List, it will automatically be added to the Flow's MailChimp configuration.

If you have more than one List, you'll be prompted to choose one from the dropdown menu.

Finding What You Need to Edit an Existing MailChimp Step

You may need to update an existing MailChimp step to change the List ID or update the API Key.

To update the List ID, you'll need the List ID from MailChimp.

Log in, click the Lists tab, and find the List.

Click Settings and select List Name and Defaults from the menu.

There you'll find the List ID.

You will copy+paste this value into the MailChimp List ID field in your flow.

Add MailChimp to LeadConduit

From your selected Flow, choose Edit, scroll to the bottom of the Steps tab, select the Add Delivery option, and search for/scroll to MailChimp and select.

Next, you'll need to provide some information so LeadConduit can communicate with MailChimp.

Click Ok and Save the flow.

The email you collect with the lead will automatically be sent to the MailChimp API and you don't need to manually map it in the field mapping section.

At a minimum, this is all that is required to add an email to your MailChimp list. Congrats!
