What is a System Field?

System Fields are fields that are automatically generated by LeadConduit Classic. They are different than campaign fields which must be created by the campaign owner and whose values must be generated outside of LeadConduit Classic and submitted to LeadConduit with each Lead.

There are many types of system fields available. You can access a full list though the Variable Placeholders link that is listed on the campaign delivery destination screen.

How can I access the System Fields for a lead ?

System fields are accessible in a few places. You can see some of them on the Lead Detail screen. They are available as part of lead exports and all types of outbound lead delivery.

A subset of all the system fields are available via the export screen:

Descriptions of some commonly used System Fields

See below for more detail on some of the commonly used System Fields. NOTE: This is not a complete list. This is just a sample.

Lead ID (xxleadId)

The lead identifier is a permanent identifier that uniquely identifies each lead in LeadConduit. It is up to a 9 character hexadecimal (alpha numeric) string (i.e. “1a2b3c”).

It is important to capture the lead identifier when receiving data from LeadConduit. The lead identifier is available with all outbound delivery mechanisms (manual, email, HTTP/HTTPS) as well as via a data export. When this value is passed as part of an export, manual transfer or email delivery it will be passed with the name "leadId" instead of "xxLeadId."

Campaign ID (xxCampaignId)

The campaign identifier is a permanent identifier that uniquely identifies a specific campaign in LeadConduit.

Lead Status (leadStatus)

The lead status indicates the current state of the lead. The lead status is available via a data export. The lead status value is passed using “leadStatus”.

Lead Status Detail (leadStatusDetail)

Contains further information describing the status of the lead. This is where reject reasons are stored. For example, if the lead is INVALID, the "leadStatusDetail" might contain the text "duplicate" indicating that a lead with the same primary key(s) has already been provided in the campaign.

Lead Capture Date (leadCaptureDate)

The lead capture date indicates the date that the lead was submitted to LeadConduit. The capture date is available via a data export. The capture date is passed using “captureDate.”

Lead Capture Date & Time (leadCaptureDateAndTime)

The lead capture date indicates the date and time that the lead was submitted to LeadConduit. The capture date and time is available via a data export. The capture date is passed using “captureDateAndTime.”

Account ID (xxAccountId)

The identifier for the account that originated the lead. The Account ID is a unique identifier assigned to each Account in LeadConduit Classic. Since a company should only have a single account in LeadConduit Classic, this value should be unique to each company in LeadConduit. NOTE: This value is available for all leads collected starting April 1, 2010.

Account Name (xxAccountName)

The full name of the LeadConduit Classic account that originated the lead (see xxAccountId).

Immediate Account ID (xxImmediateAccountId)

The identifier of the immediate LeadConduit Classic account that provided the lead. This is the Account ID of the company with whom you have a direct relationship. Often campaigns are brokered across multiple LeadConduit Classic accounts. When that is the case, it is possible that the originating Account ID (xxAccountId) will be different than the Account ID of the company with which you are directly conducting business. That is why we make this field available as well. NOTE: This value is available for all leads collected starting April 1, 2010.

Immediate Account Name (xxImmediateName)

The full name of the immediate LeadConduit Classic account that provided the lead (see xxImmediateAccountId).

Site ID (xxSiteId)

The ID corresponding to the site that originated the lead. Each LeadConduit Classic account can add Site Sources. The sites are tracked with a unique identifier called the Site ID. The actual site name associated with each Site ID is only available to the LeadConduit Classic Account that created the Site.

Site Name (xxSiteName)

The full name or identifier of the site that originated the lead (see xxSiteId).

Source Lead ID

The source lead ID permanently and uniquely identifies another lead in LeadConduit Classic. This field is automatically populated if you have been set up to route leads from a source campaign to a destination campaign. In this scenario, the source lead ID identifies the lead in the source campaign when you're looking at the lead in the destination campaign. This field can be used to manually reconcile the status of leads routed one campaign to the next. Leads posted to a campaign that is not a routing destination will not contain a value for source lead ID.
