What can I do with a Custom HTTP POST Delivery Destination?

Custom HTTP POST delivery destinations can be used to form the HTTP request body. Normally with an HTTP POST, parameters are sent in the query string format: first_name=Jenny&last_name=Jones&email=jjones@hotmail.com. But some lead delivery destinations require a special request body format, or even some special logic required in creation of a query string formatted request body. If you have to set up this sort of integration, you must use a custom HTTP POST delivery destination.

What directives can I use to control the request body format?

You can use if/else statements to conditionally add or omit certain items from the request body. See the following examples:

email=jjones@hotmail.com#if(#{income} == '100,000')&category=bigspender#elseif(#{income} == '20,000')
