Webbula: Email Hygiene & Validation

ActiveProspect partners with Webbula to offer their Email Hygiene & Verification services directly through LeadConduit.

What It Does

Webbula CloudHygiene - Email Hygiene

Webbula's ClouldHygiene - Email Hygiene is an email verification service that detects deliverable email threats. This service differentiates itself from some of the other email verification services in that this particular service does not provide information on whether an email address will bounce or not. Rather, it detects email addresses that can receive email but are associated with spam traps, bots, blacklists, etc.

In addition to detecting deliverable email threats, Webbula CloudHygiene - Email Hygiene also corrects common email mis-spellings. For example, if an email was entered as activeprospect@gmial.com, Webbula will correct the email to activeprospect@gmail.com."

Using Email Hygiene

Open your flow edit to the Steps tab, click Add Enhancement and select Webbula Hygiene:

Understanding the Response

What constitutes a Success? What constitutes a Failure
When the Webbula Email Threat returned from the Webbula API is equal to "clean" or "beta". The Webbula Email Threat returned from the Webbula API is equal to "reputation", "fraud", "delivery", or "conversion".

Making a Decision

The final step in adding Webbula is deciding whether or not you want to fail a lead when the email is deemed bad.

Appended Data

The enhancement returns the following information:

If the email address is good:

  • Webbula Hygiene Threat: clean
  • Webbula Hygiene Original: The lead's original, uncorrected email address
  • Webbula Hygiene Corrected: The corrected email address
  • Webbula Hygiene Outcome: success
  • Reason: No reason will be given if the outcome is "success"

NOTE Webbula may not be able to determine a status for all email addresses. If the email address outcome is unknown it will be treated as good, but not all of the above data may be available.

If the email address outcome is a failure:

  • Reason: Varies. A common example is "email address risk level too high"
  • Webbula Hygiene Threat: Varies. Examples: "fraud", etc.
  • Webbula Hygiene Original: The lead's original, uncorrected email address
  • Webbula Hygiene Corrected: The corrected email. Blank if no correction made.
  • Webbula Hygiene Outcome: failure
  • Webbula Hygiene Reason: Varies. A common example is "email address risk level too high"
