Webbula : Email Hygiene & Verification

The ActiveProspect integrations with Webbula make it simple for you to utilize Webbula CloudHygiene in the lead flow, without the need for custom development work. There are two separate integrations which can be utilized:

Webbula CloudHygiene - Email Hygiene

Webbula's ClouldHygiene - Email Hygiene is an email verification service that detects deliverable email threats. This service differentiates itself from some of the other email verification services in that this particular service does not provide information on whether an email address will bounce or not. Rather, it detects email addresses that can receive email but are associated with spam traps, bots, blacklists, etc.

In addition to detecting deliverable email threats, Webbula CloudHygiene - Email Hygiene also corrects common email mis-spellings. For example, if an email was entered as activeprospect@gmial.com, Webbula will correct the email to activeprospect@gmail.com."

 

What constitutes a Success? What constitutes a Failure
When the Webbula Email Threat returned from the Webbula API is equal to "clean" or "beta". The Webbula Email Threat returned from the Webbula API is equal to "reputation", "fraud", "delivery", or "conversion".

 

Adding Webbula CloudHygiene - Email Hygiene to Your Flow:

  1. Login to LeadConduit and select the 'Flows' tab
  2. Select 'New Flow' from the upper right corner, or click on a flow in the list to add the integration to an existing flow
  3. Edit the flow, then click on the 'Steps' tab
  4. Click on the 'What do you want to do with your leads' dropdown menu and select 'Enhance (add info from verification, certification, scoring, or other services)'
  5. Scroll down and select the radio button for Webbula, then click 'OK'
  6. On the integration drop-down menu, select 'Webbula CloudHygiene - Email Hygiene'

Data Appended Upon Webbula CloudHygiene - Email Hygiene

If the email address is good, the following data will be available:

  • Webbula Hygiene Threat: clean
  • Webbula Hygiene Original: The lead's original, uncorrected email address
  • Webbula Hygiene Corrected: The corrected email address
  • Webbula Hygiene Outcome: success
  • Reason: No reason will be given if the outcome is "success"

NOTE Webbula may not be able to determine a status for all email addresses. If the email address outcome is unknown it will be treated as good, but not all of the above data may be available.

If the email address outcome is a failure, the following data will be available:

  • Reason: Varies. A common example is "email address risk level too high"
  • Webbula Hygiene Threat: Varies. Examples: "fraud", etc.
  • Webbula Hygiene Original: The lead's original, uncorrected email address
  • Webbula Hygiene Corrected: The corrected email. Blank if no correction made.
  • Webbula Hygiene Outcome: failure
  • Webbula Hygiene Reason: Varies. A common example is "email address risk level too high"

Webbula's CouldHygiene - Email Hygiene + Verification is an email verification service that detects deliverable and undeliverable email threats. This service differentiates itself from other email verification services in that in addition to detecting email addresses that are invalid and will bounce, this service also provides threat information for email addresses that can receive email, but are associated with spam traps, bots, blacklists, etc.

In addition to detecting deliverable email threats, Webbula CloudHygiene - Email Hygiene + Verification also corrects common email mis-spellings. For example, if an email was entered as activeprospect@gmial.com, Webbula will correct the email to activeprospect@gmail.com.

Invalid Email Addresses 

Webbula cannot process invalidly formatted email addresses.

Examples of invalidly formatted email addresses:

  • test@@test.com
  • test.@test.com
  • test@test,com
  • test.test.com
  • test@test@test.com

Invalidly formatted emails are skipped by Webbula and you are not charged for skips due to invalid formatting.
