Exporting Lead Data From LeadConduit

You can export Lead Data to downloadable CSV file and a view it outside of LeadConduit.

Let’s walk through the process of exporting leads that failed to deliver to a recipient with an example.

In this example, you’ll export leads that failed last month. You’ll need the flow name, the date-time range for the leads you want to export, and any additional criteria by which you will identify the leads we’re targeting for export.

First, launch the LeadConduit application, in the left side navigation menu, open “Leads” and select “Lead Events”. Next, you will apply filters to generate a “Source Event” view of the leads to be exported. Leave the “Display As” selector at “Events”, not “Outcome Reasons”. Make sure the Event Type filter is set to Submission from Sources. Finally, when all filters have been set, click the “Export CSV” button at the top right corner of your screen.

A modal will pop up in which you can verify the filters are correct, and that the resulting file will be sent to your login email. Now choose which fields to include as columns in the csv file. “Flow Fields” include the data submitted by Sources. “Internal LeadConduit Fields” include the flow and source identities, the rejection reason (if failed) and other internal data like the submission timestamp. Make your choices by checking or unchecking the boxes for each field. Then click on “Select Appended Fields”.

By default, event exports will use a format that is compatible with spreadsheet tools such as Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets and Apple Numbers. This format uses the “YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS” convention, with all times being in Coordinated Universal Time. If you wish to use a the older, more verbose format you can disable the “Use standard date/time format” option.

You can optionally include appended data in your export. This might include the outcomes of specific steps if any of those might be factors you’ll need in your export file. In this case you don’t care about any appended data, so you’ll just click “Finish & Email”.

You’ll see a final pop-up that your request was completed. An email with a link to download the exported csv file will appear in your inbox. There may be a delay, depending on the size of the file.

Look for this email, and please remember to check your Spam Filter.

Clicking on the link in the email will take you to your LeadConduit session where you download the CSV. (You must be logged into LeadConduit to download.)

Protip: If you do not have the email, you can go directly to https://app.leadconduit.com/exports to download recently completed exports.

If you want to further filter the file, for example if you’re only interested in specific rejection reasons, import the file into a spreadsheet application and sort on the “Reason” column. (You must have selected that from “LeadConduit Internal Fields” above.) Delete rows from the spreadsheet accordingly, and save as a new copy.
