Changing what fields reach your CRM in LeadConduit

Where To Start

If you don’t already have one, you will need to create an integration step in your LeadConduit flow. Most CRMs can make use of the Form POST integration step, but you may need to consult your CRM administrator to find out the appropriate type of integration step.

If you’re unsure, it may be best to create a Custom Integration. This one can choose from several different methods of delivery.

Once you add the step, you’re ready to move on to mapping the values out.

Mapping

When you have the step added to your flow, you can click the “Edit Field Mappings” button. The screen you will see will look something like the below screen.

Depending on the method of data delivery chosen (Form, JSON, XML, etc.) you may have different required fields. As you can see from the example above, there is a required field for URL. This would be where you enter the URL you want the data sent to.

On the left-hand side, you enter the data you want mapped. You can enter a field name from your flow here or a raw value. On the right-hand side, you choose the field you want that data mapped to.

For some CRMs, you will need to find out the field name in the CRM prior to mapping it. If you send data to a field your CRM doesn’t have, your CRM will not display the field.

Once you’ve entered the required values needed, you can start mapping out additional fields. You can click the “+” icon to start mapping a new field.

Again, on the right-hand side, you can use one of your flow fields or a raw value. On the left-hand side, you can choose from one of LeadConduit’s templates. To use a custom field name from your CRM, additional steps may be needed. For this example, we are using the Custom Form integration. To use custom fields with this, I will need to select “Form Field” on the right-hand side and then enter the custom field name.

Let’s walk through an example. Let’s say I want to map the flow field “First Name” to a custom field in my CRM named “Lead_Contact_Name”. This is how that would be set up.
