ActiveProspect partners with Campaign Monitor to offer sections of the Campaign Monitor API directly through LeadConduit.

You can use the LeadConduit Campaign Monitor Integration to Add a Subscriber to an existing List.

What you’ll need to get started:

  • A Campaign Monitor account
  • A List ID
  • An API Key

The documentation below will show you where to find the List ID and API Key.

Finding What You Need

Log into your Campaign Monitor account and select the List you want to add members to.

Click the change name/type.

The API Subscriber List ID will be on this page, which you will copy+paste into the Campaign Monitor List ID field in your flow:

Next, load the Account Settings view from the menu in the upper right corner, then select API Keys next menu.

Basic accounts only get a single API Key. Click Show API Key to reveal the key, then copy+paste the API Key value into the Campaign Monitor API Key field:

Configuring Campaign Monitor in LeadConduit

From your selected Flow, choose Edit, scroll to the bottom of the Steps tab, select the Add Delivery option, and search for/scroll to Campaign Monitor and select.

Next, you’ll need to provide some information so LeadConduit can communicate with Campaign Monitor.

Click Ok and Save the flow.

The email, first and last name you collect with the lead will automatically be sent to the Campaign Monitor API and you don’t need to manually map them in the field mapping section.

At a minimum, this is all that is required to add a subscriber to your Campaign Monitor list. Congrats!

Advanced Configuration Options

The following Optional fields are also supported:

  • Campaign Monitor Resubscribe: Whether or not to resubscribe an existing subscriber
  • Campaign Monitor Restart Autoresponders: Whether or not to restart subscription based autoresponders for an existing subscriber (defaults to false if omitted)
  • Campaign Monitor Custom: A custom field to be included with the subscriber

These field values are available from the Right-Hand menu in the Campaign Monitor field mapping section.

Here’s an example of a custom field where it ends up in Campaign Monitor:

Interpreting the Results

A success response means that the lead was successfully added to the list.

Failure response means that the lead was not successfully added to the list. It could have been a duplicate. You can check the reason logged in LeadConduit to determine the exact reason.

The integration returns the following fields:

  • Outcome: Integration outcome (success, failure, or error)
  • Reason: If outcome is error, the error reason
