Why am I unable to save my flow?

Find and Correct a Step in Your Flow

When you receive the error, “We are unable to save your changes. Please try again,” take the following troubleshooting steps:

1. Scroll down through the steps in your flow looking for a step outlined in red such as this one

2. Click on the step.

3. If it says “There is an issue with configured mappings”, then click “Edit Field Mappings” and correct the mapping highlighted in red.

4. Or if the step indicates a problem in the step criteria, edit the step criteria.

5. Try to save the flow again.

What to do if you do not see a step needing correction

If you do not see any indication in red to flag a problem in the steps, then

  • the flow may be in edit mode in multiple of your windows (I.e., you may not be able to save the flow over a change you have made in another window), or
  • there may be multiple users editing the flow

If you think one of these may be the issue:

  1. Navigate to “Home” in the path shortcuts near the top left of your screen
  2. Refresh your screen
  3. Edit the flow again
