Enabling a Recipient to Send Conversion Feedback to LeadConduit

Feedback tells LeadConduit what happened to a lead after delivery: a conversion when the lead progressed to a lifecycle stage, or a return when the lead is given back. Feedback stays off until you turn it on, so you enable it on each delivery step you want feedback for. Enabling returns also changes the numbers in your reports: a successfully returned lead is subtracted from the revenue attributed to that delivery.

The recipient also has to receive and store the Event ID that is sent along with the lead, because every feedback submission refers to it. Sending Feedback to LeadConduit covers how the recipient reports feedback once it’s enabled.

If the recipient uses Salesforce or LeadPerfection as their CRM, there is a streamlined process for configuring conversion feedback: see Conversion Feedback - SalesForce & LeadPerfection.

Enabling Feedback on a Delivery Step

  1. Open Flows, select your flow, and select Edit Flow.
  2. Select the delivery step you want feedback enabled for.
  3. Expand Feedback settings.
  4. Turn on Receive Lead Returns, Receive Lead Conversions, or both.
  5. Optionally, set criteria to refine the feedback you accept. For returns, you can only allow returns of leads up to a chosen age, or select Switch to advanced mode to validate returns with LeadConduit rules. For conversions, Add Rule Set applies rules the same way. Feedback that meets the rules is processed, and feedback that does not meet them is not. All of these controls do the same job: they define which feedback submissions this step accepts.
  6. Make sure the recipient receives the Event ID sent along with the lead, because every feedback submission refers to it. If the recipient’s integration does not already include it, map it in the step’s Field Mappings.
  7. Save the flow.

Receiving feedback and passing it onward are separate settings: to notify your sources of the feedback you receive, set up each source’s feedback delivery too, as covered in Enabling Real Time Feedback to a Source.

Conversions and the Connections Report

Once feedback is enabled and conversions start flowing, the lifecycle stages the recipient reports also appear as columns on the Connections Report shared with your partner.
