Feature Snapshot

Summary:
TrueCall is now integrated directly into TrustedForm certificates, giving advertisers a valuable way to confirm whether an inbound phone call was genuinely initiated by a consumer. This added verification helps identify when calls come directly from leads versus calls that were screened or transferred by third-party agents.

Key Benefits:

  • Confirms whether a call was truly initiated by a consumer
  • Adds transparency around the origin of inbound calls
  • Helps advertisers understand which ads or web pages drive real engagement
  • Provides a unique TrueCall ID linked to the call, viewable inside TrustedForm certificates

Typical Use Cases:

  • Validating inbound calls before purchasing or routing leads
  • Verifying that a call is not an outbound transfer masked as an inbound call
  • Adding additional trust and compliance to call-based lead generation

How the TrueCall integration works

When a publisher includes the TrueCall script on their webpage, each inbound call receives a unique TrueCall ID.

TrustedForm automatically records this ID when present:

  • The TrueCall ID appears inside the Publisher Provided Data section of the TrustedForm certificate
  • Clicking the TrueCall ID redirects you to the TrueCall platform, where you can view the call details
  • Lead buyers can confirm whether TrueCall successfully matched the call to the browsing session

This integration helps advertisers validate inbound call authenticity while maintaining a full consent record through TrustedForm.

Step‑by‑Step Instructions

  1. Add the TrueCall script to your web page in tandem with the TrustedForm Certify script so that when a consumer initiates a call, a unique TrueCall ID is generated.
  2. Capture the TrueCall ID during the consumer call event, where it is automatically embedded within the TrustedForm certificate under the Publisher Provided Data section.
  3. When reviewing a lead, click the TrueCall ID to be redirected to the TrueCall platform, where detailed call information—including call duration, location, and timestamp—is displayed.
  4. Use this call verification data to cross-check consumer consent and validate the authenticity of the lead event.

Expected Result:
A TrustedForm certificate is successfully retained with an embedded TrueCall ID. The certificate displays a clearly clickable TrueCall ID that, when accessed, provides detailed call verification data from the TrueCall platform.

Validation & Monitoring (optional)

  • Test the Setup:
Submit a test lead to confirm that the TrueCall script correctly generates a unique TrueCall ID and that this ID appears within your TrustedForm certificate.
  • Where to Monitor?:
Monitor your TrustedForm dashboard for retained certificates and click the TrueCall ID to review corresponding call information on TrueCall’s platform to ensure call authenticity aligns with lead data.

Best Practices

  • Ensure both TrueCall and TrustedForm Certify scripts are included on your lead-generation pages.
  • Regularly audit retained certificates and TrueCall data to promptly identify and address discrepancies in call authenticity.
  • Securely store both the full TrustedForm certificate URL and the embedded TrueCall ID in your CRM system for future compliance audits.
  • Educate all vendors and developers on proper script implementation to ensure that the TrueCall ID is consistently captured and accurately displayed.

Notes

  • TrueCall IDs are not available for TrustedForm Mobile or Facebook Lead Ads certificates.
  • Masked TrustedForm certificates will not display TrueCall IDs to protect lead confidentiality.

Troubleshooting

Symptom / Error Likely Cause Resolution
TrueCall ID missing in the certificate TrueCall script not properly integrated or blocked (e.g., by ad blockers) Verify that the TrueCall script is correctly added and not obstructed by browser extensions; ensure JavaScript is enabled
Mismatched TrueCall ID and call data Timing issues between script executions or data synchronization errors Ensure the TrueCall script executes before the form submission and review API logging for anomalies
Redirect failure when clicking the TrueCall ID Incorrect URL formatting or misconfiguration in the integration setup Confirm that the generated TrueCall ID is in the correct format and that redirection settings match TrueCall platform requirements. Confirm your TrueCall account has access

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q: What is the set up process like for customers interested in using this? Do we advise them to contact a rep at TrueCall to set up an account? Is there a cost to get/implement TrueCall’s script?
A: Anyone can sign up for an account here (https://app.truecall.com/register). The TrueCall ecosystem is comprised of Generators and End Users.

  • End Users validate TrueCall IDs. End User’s accounts are paid (you would have to contact sales https://truecall.com/contact to get an End user account).

Q: Is there any implementation required on our end?
A: No, we simply show the TrueCall ID on our certificates whenever present.

Q: Is there a way to leverage this within LeadConduit so customers can filter/reject calls?
A: Currently there isn’t a way to leverage this within LeadConduit.
