Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
What is the Salesforce integration in LeadConduit?
It is a pre‑built connection that allows you to securely send, update, manage lead data and receive conversion feedback between LeadConduit and Salesforce CRM, automating field mapping and record management.
Why is the Salesforce integration important?
Integrating Salesforce with LeadConduit automates lead delivery and updates, reduces manual data entry errors, and consolidates lead information to improve sales efficiency and data quality.
How do I use the Salesforce integration in my flow?
To use the integration, add a Salesforce Recipient Step in your flow, complete the authorization process with your Salesforce account, configure field mappings as needed, save your setup, and activate your flow. Then, test with a sample lead to ensure that records are correctly created or updated in Salesforce.

In addition to the basic Salesforce fields automatically added to your flow, you may want to include additional Salesforce fields that are part of your Contact or Lead profile. Here, for example, is a custom field in Salesforce named Source. Note that its Salesforce field name is Source__c.
Can I add custom field mappings for Salesforce?
Yes, while Salesforce Standard fields are mapped automatically, you can manually add or adjust custom field mappings through the LeadConduit flow editor to accommodate additional data requirements.
What should I do if the integration fails during testing?
Review the LeadConduit Events Log for error details, confirm your Salesforce credentials and permissions, and verify that both standard and custom field mappings are configured correctly. If issues persist, contact support for further assistance.
What permission are required to authenticate Salesforce?
The Salesforce integration requires a Salesforce username and password. Make sure the user credentials you use have the Salesforce API Enabled permission, which is found in the Salesforce user profile:
Our best practice recommendation is to have your Salesforce Administrator create a user login and profile specifically for this use case.
How can I enable Conversion Feedback for the Salesforce integration?
Just follow the steps to create a Salesforce recipient listed previosuly in this article until you get to the modal below and click on Enable Conversion Feedback:
Then you can select the fields that should be sent back to LeadConduit in each conversion notification (ID and Status are always required).
That’s it; you are ready to receive feedback from Salesforce each time the lead status changes.
