Step 1. Accept your invite and create your account
- Goal: Accept your seller’s invitation and create or sign in to your ActiveProspect account.
- Context: Your lead seller will send an email invitation to connect on ActiveProspect. Once you accept the invitation, you can sign up for a free ActiveProspect account with the LeadConduit for Partners subscription plan.
Already have an ActiveProspect account?
Accept your invite and sign in with your existing credentials. You’ll be taken through the same setup wizard to connect your lead delivery. You can exit at any time and resume from your saved progress.
Instructions:
- Open the invite email and click the link to accept.
- Sign up using the email address the invite was sent to.
- Verify your email.
- Fill in your personal and company details.
Expected result:
Your free LeadConduit for Partners account is created and your lead seller is connected to your flow automatically as a source.
Step 2. Add and connect a lead delivery
- Goal: Choose where your incoming leads should go and authenticate the destination so LeadConduit can deliver leads to it.
- Context: Your lead delivery can be a CRM or another system where your team manages incoming leads.
Instructions:
-
Browse the integrations library and select your destination system.
-
Enter your credentials for the selected integration.
-
Follow any additional authentication steps required by your destination system.
Expected result:
Your lead delivery destination is selected and authorized.
Step 3. Map necessary fields
- Goal: Match the incoming lead fields from your seller to the corresponding fields in your destination system.
- Context: If no fields are required, this step will be skipped automatically.
Instructions:
- For each incoming field, such as First Name, Last Name, Email, or Phone, select the matching field in your destination system.
- Make sure all required fields are mapped before continuing.
Expected result:
Incoming lead data is correctly mapped and will flow into the right fields in your destination system.
Step 4. Test your flow
- Goal: Submit a test lead to confirm your delivery destination is connected and working before live leads start coming in.
- Context: Testing helps confirm that authentication and field mappings are correct.
Instructions:
- Submit a test lead with sample data.
- Use Preview Form to customize your form field inputs, if needed.
- Confirm the lead appears in your destination system with the correct field values.
- If something looks off, revisit your lead delivery authentication or field mappings.
Expected result:
A test lead passes through your flow and arrives in your destination system with all fields populated correctly.
Step 5. Explore your flow
- Goal: Review your enabled flow and understand how leads move from your seller source to your delivery destination.
- Context: Once setup is complete, you’ll land in your flow. The flow is already enabled and ready to receive leads from your seller.
What is a flow? A flow is a comprehensive, sequential pipeline used in LeadConduit to capture, validate, enhance, and deliver leads.
Instructions:
- View your flow. You can rename your flow at any time from the flow editor.
- Review the sequence of steps: your seller in the source setup, followed by your recipient step, which is your delivery destination.
- To filter out leads before they reach your delivery system, select Add to Flow, then Filter, and set your conditions.
Expected result:
You can see your flow, understand what happens to each lead, and optionally add filters to control which leads get delivered.
Troubleshooting
| Symptom / Error message | Likely cause | Resolution |
|---|---|---|
| “Integration authentication failed” | Credentials entered incorrectly | Reconnect your integration and re-enter your credentials. |
| Test lead does not appear in your destination system | Authentication or field mapping is incomplete or incorrect | Review your destination authentication and required field mappings, then submit another test lead. |
| Flow is receiving leads but not delivering them | Recipient step has not been configured | Complete your lead delivery destination setup as soon as possible to avoid missing delivered leads. |
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Can I add more than one delivery destination?
Free accounts support one active recipient. Upgrading to a paid plan lets you add multiple delivery destinations and additional flow configurations.
Why can some features not be used?
Your free account includes the core tools to receive and deliver leads. Features like third-party add-ons, additional flow recipients, and additional reporting are part of paid plans. You’ll see an upgrade prompt when you try to access these paid features.
What happens if my seller sends a lead and my flow isn’t set up yet?
Your flow is enabled by default, so leads can still be received into the flow. However, leads won’t be delivered to your destination until your recipient step is configured. Set up your delivery destination as soon as possible to avoid missing leads.
Can I see the leads I’ve received?
Yes. Navigate to the Lead Events page to view a log of every lead that comes through, including its status and any errors.
